Diane Newcombe

A long-time avid reader and writer with a particular interest in poetry, Diane Newcombe's love of children's literature increased during her children's preschool years and involvement in the Playcentre movement. During that time she met her friend Melissa Anderson Scott, and following subsequent children's literature courses, and the book-enthusiasm of grandchildren, she was delighted to join forces with Melissa to explore picture book projects. A is for Auckland, published in 2013, was the result of their first collaboration, and they are delighted to follow it with A is for Aotearoa.
